We can help identify areas of risk, whether it be from third party intellectual property impinging on commercial activities, or from the problems surrounding ownership of intellectual property developed internally or as a result of sub-contracted work. Once areas of risk have been identified we can advise on prioritising those risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

We also identify areas of opportunity and we have experience of helping clients to put processes in place to initially help identify valuable intellectual property. We can then suggest techniques to assist in the decision making process on whether or not it makes commercial sense to protect the identified intellectual property.

We can help clients implement systems to monitor the progress of any applications made relating to that intellectual property. These systems may be based on a client's existing information system or through remote access to our own information systems. In situations where a client uses their own information systems, we can provide regular data updates from our own systems or directly update our client's systems if that is more convenient.

We can also assist in monitoring the activities of your competitors and to help provide strategic advice on how best a client may exploit their intellectual property to achieve their business goals.
