K R Bryer & Co was founded in 1978 and since that time has grown from a sole proprietor practice to a firm of significant size.

The firm started initially in Cornwall when Kenneth Bryer moved there after initially training with Boult Wade and Tennant in London, and a period with a small provincial firm in Plymouth.

The practice grew and developed in size and breadth until the point where it became commercially attractive for the firm to be relocated from Cornwall to the Bath area. K R Bryer & Co's main office was thus relocated to Gay Street in Bath.

Upon arrival the firm initially occupied the upper three floors of the Gay Street office but as the firm has added breadth to its team more of the office was acquired until, in April 2007, all five floors of the office were solely occupied by K R Bryer & Co.

The growth of the firm has seen an expansion in its capabilities with the addition of a dedicated Trade Mark Attorney as well as many specialist Patent Attorneys.

K R Bryer & Co can deal with a wide range of technologies, from mechanical & mineral exploitation engineering and aerospace technologies, through electrical & electronic engineering, semiconductors, telecommunications, microprocessor & memory technologies, medical devices and software & IT systems to physics, chemistry and biotechnology.

Our expansion has been carefully managed and assisted by the addition of skilled support staff and industry leading information systems. In 2003 K R Bryer & Co successfully transferred to an electronic practice management system which provides benefits to both us and our clients. We have embraced online filing and we continue to look at ways to improve our practice and to provide an even better service to our clients.
